Embroidery Transfers

We recently published information concerning an archive of thousands of transfers we were hoping to re-issue.
Unfortunately, these are taking some time to catalogue and prepare so it may be some years before we are ready to go into production.
If you would still like to be added to our mailing list, I’ll be happy to let you know when we have something ready. Please email Simon Deighton e-mail Simon Deighton

Needlepoint - Tapestry Printing

Our Environmental Policy

We believe we are the only needlework printing company worldwide to guarantee that our prints are washfast, to ensure there are no issues during the wetting and stretching of finished pieces.

We further guarantee that no solvents are employed within either the printing or finishing process.

We manufacture a product which, by its very nature, involves extensive handling and we believe we have

an ethical duty protect the end user from the harmful solvents and chemicals found in many printing inks.

Origination Costs

Deighton Needleworks recommends DP Software's excellent Cross Stitch Professional charting software. Digital artwork in this format or as bitmap (.bmp) images will incur no origination charges.

We are able to work cross platform and can accept digital artwork from Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel and many other formats. For further advice or information on acceptable artworks email your details.

All jobs are proofed prior to production commencing. With many customers now designing on their PC, this proof is often the first opportunity to see the design "in the flesh". The proof is fully printed onto the canvas required and is guaranteed to be exactly the same as the production print. Layout and colour matches can be viewed prior to production and any changes can be made at this point.

Lead Times

On approval of a proof, a print run will normally be delivered within two weeks. We have managed to deliver some urgent orders within 24 hours (much to the astonishment of the customers!).

Accuracy

Because the printing system is digital, the finished print will exactly match the accuracy of the chart. For the first time, geometric designs such as kilims and bargello can be printed with no loss of quality.

Colours can be matched to any wool/thread range and submitted for approval.

Some Customers prefer a slightly rounded print, more closely following the effect of hand-drawn artwork. This too, can be achieved if requested.

Prices

All prices are based on canvas and design size. The number of colours to be printed has no bearing on the price. This enables designers to produce more complex images without fear of pricing the final product out of the market.

Minimum Orders

Technically, there is no mimimum order, although very small quantities may attract an upsetting price! However, there are ways around this....... Contact Simon Deighton and ask about our special contract rates!
